For many industries Christmas is a hectic period and certainly not a good time to be having to fit electrical installation testing in. However, for some industries the Christmas period is the perfect quiet spot in the year to carry out some building maintenance and make sure that you are fulfilling your duties as a diligent owner or manager.
Remember that it is your responsibility as a duty holder, as laid out in the Electricity at Work Regulations of 1989, to keep your buildings safe. An EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) provides you with the framework to fulfil this obligation, giving you evidence of on-going care of your building.
